Noisetrade is offering Cut Off Your Hands' 2008 EP, Happy As Can Be, for free. The band is promoting an upcoming album, Hollow. But Happy As Can Be is an indie classic, so if you don't have it, now's your chance.
The band's page also provides for some fascinating reading, such as the fact that they are from New Zealand, that they were originally called Shaky Hands, and that they're "For fans of Die! Die! Die!, Children Collide, Red Riders, The Holidays, Dappled Cities." I haven't heard of any of those bands, so clearly I have my work cut out for me.

Quiet Company - "Fear and Fallacy, Sitting in a Tree" video
Quiet Company just released a new video for their song "Fear and Fallacy, Sitting in a Tree." Thematically it reminds me of their second album, Everyone You Love Will Be Happy Soon. It will be on their October release, We Are All Where We Belong, and you can download the song for free right now on facebook.com/quietcompany.
Besides writing optimistic album titles, they play incredible music. I especially love "Fear and Fallacy"'s outro:

MP3 roundup: The Demos, "Meet at Night"
Here's a lush indie anthem from The Demos, who released their new album Lovely in May. And "lovely" is a good name for their style. The Demos are Jason Milton and Callan Saunders, who play enjoyable pop music. Listen to those vocal harmonies and jangling guitars:
